When I first moved in, I was really excited to go shopping with my flatmate, Saskia, for duvet covers, accessories and plenty of things to make the place look nice. We had both only recently started working full time, and so shopping was done on somewhat of a budget, and so we decided to start off with a trip to trusty Asda! I spotted a number of gorgeous duvet covers that I liked but as I pointed out to Sas, choosing a duvet cover is a big commitment! If you opt for anything too bold then you run the risk of limiting yourself when it comes to choosing accessories to accompany it. However, I like to take risks and love patterns and bright colours, and so I opted for this gorgeous blue flowery number. The photos below are taken from the Asda website – on the rare occasion that my bed is made, I never manage to make it look this neat!
I also opted for this more neutral duvet cover too. It’s much more versatile and allows me to spice up the rest of the room with lots of bright accessories, while causing little conflict.
